The 360 degree excavator is a piece of machinery used to excavate and move large objects in construction environments. Based on its ability to rotate 360 degrees, therefore makes it ideal and appropriate for various types of situations but also requires an essential amount of proficiency.

With our detailed and thorough CPCS training course, we will provide candidates with theory and practical methods on how to operate a 360 degree excavator. After the theory and practical tests have been passed successfully, the delegate will be able to competently and safely carry out the role in the construction industry.

  • Fitting and operating ancillary equipment
  • Siting the machine safely and efficiently
  • Carrying out minor adjustments and routine servicing procedures
  • Preparing the machine for travelling on the public highway
  • The capabilities of each machine, its purpose and limitations
  • All safety precautions necessary for the correct operation of the plant machinery
  • How diesel engines work and how various parts of the machine operate
  • How to interpret the information provided by level pegs, profiles and so on
  • What routine adjustments and servicing procedures are necessary, and how to carry them out

Entry Requirements

Good understanding of spoken and written English.
