Participants will gain knowledge and understanding in the following areas:

- Understanding the industry, associated hazards, and the responsibilities of a Lift Truck Supervisor
- Interpreting and applying the manufacturer’s handbook for harness and fall arrest equipment
- Identifying key components of harnesses and fall arrest systems and explaining their functions
- Performing pre-use and safety checks in line with manufacturer and legislative requirements
- Selecting the appropriate type of harness or fall arrest system for specific tasks
- Identifying and maintaining suitable PPE for harness and fall arrest use, and demonstrating correct application
- Correctly fitting and removing harnesses and fall arrest equipment
- Conducting end-of-work inspections and ensuring equipment is fit for future use
- Considering environmental factors during use and storage
- Proper storage procedures for harness and fall arrest equipment
Entry Requirements
- For candidates applying for the NPORS CSCS Card, or those who require the ‘HS&E TESTED’ logo on their card, a valid CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment Test pass (within the last 2 years) is required.
- Learners must have a good understanding of spoken and written English.
